Other – upcoming visits/regions

This year, beginning March, 2021, I plan in-depth visits (some for the first time, some for the second, or… tenth time) to the following regions over the six months I’ll be there. This will mark well more than a few dozen trips to Italy since 1991, most for 3 months each. At this time, my itinerary for the year will likely include:

  • Verona/VinItaly/Veneto (likely 3+ days)
  • Trento/Adige (likely 1-2 days)
  • Sicily/Etna/Vittoria (likely 25+ days)
  • Tuscany/Chianti/Montalcino/etc.(likely 35+ days)
  • Piemonte/Barolo/Barbaresco/Alto Piemonte (likely 40+ days)
  • Lombardia (likely 1-2 days)
  • Umbria (likely 3-5 days)
  • Campania (likely 3-5 days
  • Puglia (likely 2-3 days)
  • Aosta (likely 3-4 days)
  • Liguria (likely 3-4 days)
  • Marche (likely 2-3 days)
  • Abruzzo (likely 2-3 days)
  • Venezia/Friuli (likely 3-5 days)
  • Emilia (likely 2-3 days)
  • with time leftover for as-yet unplanned visits

The rest of the time, approximately 55 days, will involve weekends, a few National holidays (i.e. times I can’t work, meeting with winegrowers), and quick trips/visits to Liguria, Val d’Aosta, Emilia-Romagna and maybe even Puglia to see friends and to also have first-time visits with some winegrowers at their estates.
